What Does A Typical Toddler Day Entail?

A typical toddler day entails of eating, playing, bathing, and sleeping.  There is a natural order to each activity, and they each occur more than once in a toddler day.  For example, your toddler wakes up in the morning and may be ready to eat, play, or both.  After a full belly and exhausting play, he may be ready for a nap.  After waking from a nap, it is time for her to play again.  After a little while of play, your toddler gets hungry.  Again, with a full stomach, it is playtime yet again.  By the end of the toddler day, your little one is exhausted and dirty.  It is time for a relaxing, soothing bath to get ready for bed.  Thus ending a usual toddler day.

Let us look at each of these activities with a little more detail.  A toddler day includes several small meals throughout the day.  If you are one of the lucky parents, your toddler will eat regular meals and full snacks.  It is not uncommon for a toddler’s appetite to vary from one day to the next, however.  You have nothing to worry about as long as he is not losing weight, or she is not lethargic.

After your toddler has eaten, she is more likely to have a boost of energy and will want to play.  Play can go on for hours, whether he is by himself or even with other children.  It is not always hard play, and any item is considered a toy.  If your child is like mine, he will want to climb.  If you have a hunter in the family, you may consider taking your toddler along to get him used to the activity.  In which case you will need hunting clothes for your toddler.

At the conclusion of a fun-filled toddler day, your child is likely to be very dirty.  Thus, it is time for a bath.  Taking a bath can be considered play as well.  My son likes to splash the water everywhere.  In order to keep him interested so he will stay in the tub, I have given him some water-proof toys.  Most of these toys do squirt water, which he thoroughly enjoys to no end.  It can get messy, but it keeps him in the tub long enough to get clean after a long, toddler day.

Once he has taking his relaxing bath with lavender scented baby wash, my son starts to settle down for bedtime.  It is nice for him to hve his own bed with clean sheets.  As cute as he is when he plays during his toddler day, he is still quite precious while he is sleeping.  He has not only exhausted himself, but just about everyone around him.  Having him is a wonderful gift however, that I will love and cherish forever.
